Weekly Games

 1.      The Golf Genius notification of a Tuesday game needs to be answered by 12 noon each Saturday for the WGA member to be included on the tee sheet for the following week.

2.      Any cancelations (if not done through Golf Genius) must be made to the pro shop prior to tee off.

3.      The $3 fee for the weekly game is nonrefundable once play begins. The fee can be charged to a member’s account if the member directs the pro shop to do so. This does not apply to Stableford team games as cash is required for all Stableford events.

4.      Members should be in their carts and ready for announcements by 8:15am and on the tee by 8:30am.

5.      Both carts will have a scorecard with the game directions and markers need to be sure the scoring matches before submitting a card for scoring the game. The scorecards will be the official score. Scores will also be recorded by one member of the group in Golf Genius (GGID published on the scorecard for each group).

6.      Maximum strokes scored for each hole must be recorded on the scorecard unless the game of the day only counts certain holes. In that instance, record the lower of Net double bogey or the most likely score, for those holes not counted. In some team games 2 scores count, and both of those scores must be actual strokes played for the hole.

7.      If a 4-Ball match is being played on a League Day (other than a Stableford Day), all 4 players must sign up for the weekly game in Golf Genius and one person must send an email to the Pro Shop identifying who will be playing the 4-Ball match.  That group will be placed at the back of the field.  The Pro Shop will prepare score cards for the Match.

8.      In the summer, members can elect to play either 9 or 18 holes on Tuesdays. Only those playing 18 holes will pay the $3 fee for the game. The pro shop will arrange groups accordingly. There will be separate sign-up notifications from Golf Genius for each group.

Weather and Other Factors Resulting in Cancelation

1.      Games on Tuesdays will be played EVERY Tuesday as long as there are 10 members in the staging area at 8:15am and no extreme weather has been declared (see #3). Fees and payouts will remain the same. This does not apply to Stableford games.

2.      In the event of fewer than 10 members present, or if a game is canceled, members can play but will get a refund of their $3 and can play any game they wish.

3.      In the case of extreme weather (heavy rain, extreme cold, tropical storm or hurricane) a decision to cancel play will be made by the President and Tournament Chair, in consultation with the golf pro before 7:15am on the day scheduled. An email will be sent to all members at that time and it will be posted on the website by the web administration team. If a Stableford game is canceled, it will be rescheduled if possible.
